Pastor Nick grew up in Milford, Michigan in South Hill Baptist Church under Pastor Dale’s ministry. He responded to God’s call on his life the summer before his freshman year of college and began to study Youth Ministry and Music at William Tyndale College in Farmington Hills, Michigan. During his college career, he was interim Youth Pastor at Korean First Baptist Church in Rochester Hills, Michigan for one year. Just before taking this interim position in 2000, Nick was in contact with Pastor Dale about the possibility of serving at Northern Hills and God had placed this same possibility on Nick’s then fiancée Tara Landau. 

After finishing the interim position at the Korean Church, Nick and Tara were married on August 11, 2001. During their senior year at Tyndale College, Nick interned under Pastor David Hughes and Youth Pastor Tom Ford at South Hill Church and visited Northern Hills twice as the details were worked out for them to move to Phoenix. Nick and Tara both graduated from Tyndale in May of 2002 and the following month moved to Phoenix to serve here at Northern Hills Community Church. Nick and Tara have three boys, Nicholas, Ryan and Connor.
