Our Background
Northern Hills Community Church (NHCC) is a purpose-driven church plant, which started in 1996 in obedience to the command of our Lord Jesus Christ "to go into the world and make disciples." Dr. R. Dale Gross was selected to start this church and, along with 9 other people, had a dream to build a great church to worship a great Lord. We moved into our first unit on August 20, 1998 and have since increased our campus by 3 additional units: adult education, student ministries, and our Family Life Center which is a combined worship center and auditorium. We conducted our first service in our new facility on September 12, 2010. We have grown to a congregation of 400 weekly worshipers. Our halls are full of laughter and excitement! Sunday school classes, Bible study classes, and Small Groups just continue to grow. The Lord is blessing His church!
We exist to celebrate God's presence (worship), to demonstrate God's love (ministry), to communicate God's word (evangelism) to assimilate God's family (fellowship) and to educate God's people (discipleship). The Bible is our only guide for faith and Christian living.
We are an independent, community church affiliated with the North American and International Mission Boards of the Southern Baptist Convention, which allows us to be obedient to Christ through the Great Commission and remain an independent church.
