God's Gals – Our Women's Ministry
Many women at Northern Hills Community Church actively participate in the activities of our women's ministry – known as God's Gals! Under the direction of Michele Fowler, this group charges powerfully for God's purposes!
God's Gals …
- Support one another in edifying friendships
- Enhance Less-Fortunate Families with the E.L.F. program
- Host the Annual Women's Retreat, a 3-day getaway for fellowship and spiritual growth
- Provide Bible study on Friday mornings
- Host a senior game and lunch day
- Host the mother-daughter-friend Spring Tea
- Host Bunko Parties
- Go on serious shopping excursions, sometimes for missions projects, sometimes for sheer pleasure
- Host the spring church picnic
- Sponsor the Christmas Angel Tree for children
- Host an ornament exchange party
- Encourage the "Christian Buddy (CB)" fellowship
- Support the Visitors' Booth every Sunday morning
- … and so, so much more!
Operation E.L.F.
A wonderful, loving mission of the God's Gals organization is Operation E.L.F. This acryonym symbolizes the need to Enhance Less-Fortunate Families.
The primary operation supports Rio Vista, a food and clothing "bank". Our church members steadily donate used clothing and non-perishable food. But additionally, the God's Gals ask for special gift-giving drives, like the recent request for school supplies for the families in need. They managed to assemble hundreds of Easter baskets in the Spring and provided so many Angel Tree Christmas gifts for children and youth that it took many truckloads to deliver them! This ministry puts smiles on many little faces!
Annual Retreat
You can't miss knowing about the annual women's retreat -- usually taking place during September. This year over 100 women will arrived at a retreat camp just outside of Payson for three days of memory-making fellowship. Their agenda was packed with guest speakers, worship, testimonies, small groups, lots of food, some shopping, more food, and sleepless nights of giggles, tears, and endless stories. Some depart Friday morning in order to shop on the way! They all crawl home exhausted on Sunday afternoon, hoping and praying that anyone in their household will prepare supper! But they return fully charged in God's love.
Christian Buddies
Christian Buddies Coming Together creates teams of two for fellowship, prayer, building one another up, supporting, sharing, laughing and crying together, Bible study, breakfast or lunch or dinner, movie outings, etc. The purpose is to have that one confidential partner to call on for anything and everything.

Monthly Meetings
God's Gals meet once a month to plan, prepare, snack and play. They meet on the second Tuesday of each month (normally) at 6:55 p.m. sharp. Please take note that food is a big part of this organization!
